Description: Water irrigation is a safe, quick, and effective method of removing built-up ear wax. It uses a gentle stream of lukewarm water to soften, dislodge, and flush away wax that would not usually clear on its own. Unlike traditional ear syringing, modern water irrigation uses electronically controlled pulses of water, allowing for a more precise and comfortable treatment. As this is a wet procedure, our ear wax removal specialist will first carry out a full examination of each ear using an endoscope. This allows us to clearly view the ear canal and assess the condition of the tympanic membrane (eardrum). Once the ears have been checked and you are suitable for treatment, the specialist will explain the procedure, discuss any sensations you may experience, and outline the expected results before beginning the treatment.
